A seminar on Missionary Children Association (MCA) was organized on Sunday, 09 July 2023 at Infant Jesus Church, Sharavathinagar, Shimoga.
The Programme began with the Holy Eucharist. After the Mass children were given breakfast and then began the seminar in the school auditorium. There were 140 children whom we divided into 4 groups and they were asked to discuss on the role of children in the parish. With the help of animators, they charted out many avenues.
After each group presented their report the director, Fr Alvine Stanislaus explained in brief the history of MCA. The 16 steps according to the booklet, KIRANA, was also explained. With the help of their Parish Priest, Fr Biju Thomas, the children themselves have planned to celebrate this year the Holy Childhood Day in a creative way at the parish level.
The seminar was concluded with the vote of thanks by one of the Catechism teachers. The co-operation of Parish Priest, Fr Biju, who was present for the entire Programme was much appreciated. All the catechism teachers were also present and actively participated in the seminar.
