The volunteers of the Prison Ministry of India conducted special programmes for Women’s Day and Sports events for the inmates of Women’s Central Prison on Tuesday, 19th of March 2024. The programme started at 10.30 am with a short prayer by Sr Elize Lurdh SCB. Mrs. Ambika welcomed the gathering and explained the importance of the Women’s day celebration and how all of the women could contribute much for the same. All the 52 inmates actively participated in the half day programme.
The volunteers of Prison ministry India Shimoga conducted the special games, fun events and group singing competition. Sr. Elize & Mrs. Annamma Davis addressed the group with the theme: Inspired and Inclusion - with the pictorial method & exemplary models in every field. All the participants were awarded special prizes sponsored by the PMI team members. The volunteers distributed fruits and other edibles to the prison inmates and the staff. After the Vote of thanks the assistant superintendent Mrs. Shantha and Jailor Mr. Nandesh personally thanked each member who participated in the event.
