On 11th May 2025, ten children, dressed in white, received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion at Our Lady of Vailankanni Church, Bhadravathi. Following weeks of dedicated preparation, the children entered the church with great enthusiasm and devotion, accompanied by their parents.
They participated actively in the liturgy, contributing to the celebration with reverence and joy. After receiving Holy Communion, they expressed their gratitude through a melodious hymn that deeply touched the hearts of all present.
In his inspiring homily, Rev. Fr. Steevan D’Sa, the Parish Priest emphasized the significance of Jesus’ presence in the Holy Eucharist and reflected on the qualities of the Good Shepherd, encouraging the faithful to follow Christ more closely.
At the conclusion of the Mass, each child was presented with a certificate and a rosary as a memento of the occasion. In a gesture of appreciation, the parents and children honoured Miss Priya and Sr. Theresa Mascarenhas for their dedicated guidance by offering them a shawl and garland.
The celebration was a grace-filled and memorable occasion, marked by deep faith, heartfelt gratitude, and joy.
