Addressing the Commission Directors/Secretaries of the diocese of Shimoga, Most Rev. Bp Francis Serrao, the Bishop of Shimoga, appreciated and lauded the efforts of the Commission Directors in organising activities and admonished the Directors to attend the Regional and National Meetings.
He was chairing the meeting of the Commission Directors who presented their report of the activities of the past seven months and also action-plan for the next four months. Altogether there were nine Directors representing 14 commissions.
The Vicar General, Msgr Felix Noronha, was also present for the meeting. Rev Stany D'Souza, the Dean and Parish Priest of the Cathedral, attended the meeting. The Diocesan Coordinator of the Pastoral Commissions, Rev Duming Dias, emphasised the need to maintain the files of the Commissions and to get ready with the Action Plan for 2023 and present it in the next meeting to be held on 23 November 2022.
Earlier, the meeting began with a prayer by Sr Helen Moras, followed by welcome words from Rev Dr Francis Fernandes. Rev Jerome Moras proposed the vote of thanks.
