One day intensive programme on Missionary Childhood Association (MCA) was held at Our Lady of Lourdes church, Thirthahalli, Shimoga on Sunday, 17th of September 2023. 56 children participated in the seminar. Fr Alvin Stanislaus was the resource person. The program began at 9 am with a short prayer.
Fr. Stephen M. Albuquerque welcomed the group and briefly explained the concept of MCA. Fr Alvine as he began the session gave the participants a brief history of MCA and explained sixteen steps of the MCA and how each member has to meticulously follow them. The group agreed to have a half day seminar to inaugurate the MCA unit in the parish and the Parish Priest was requested to find a suitable date for the same. The meeting concluded with a short prayer and vote of thanks.
The MCA unit is extremely grateful to Fr Stephen Albuquerque, the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Paul Crasta the Assistant PP, Mr. Ovin D'Souza PPC secretary and all the parishioners for their support. After this all went to to the church to participate in the Holy Eucharist.
