Jog Falls, Mar. 07, 2019: Jog is well known for its scenic beauty and luscious greenery at the strips of the Western Ghats of India. Catholic faith too has gone deep in to the lives of people as natural as nature. The forefathers of Christian faith have left behind a great legacy of faith and practice in around Jog Falls. People have nurtured, nourished and sustained this traditional faith over the years especially reverence and deep faith to Holy Cross elevated at a public market place called Bajar Line in Jog.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There was a annual celebration of the veneration of the Cross and Holy Eucharist on Monday 04 March 2019. Rev Fr. Alwyn D’Souza from Sacred Heart Church Madanthyar officiated the Holy Eucharist and preached on the importance and relevance of the Cross. The guest priests Fr. Anelcitus D’Mello, Fr. Clarence Dias and Fr. Ephraim were present and concelebrated at the Holy Mass. The UFS sisters of Christa Jyothi Convent assisted the Bajar Cross Committee to organise the entire event. Rev. Ronald Veigas the parish priest of Christ the King Church, Jog was the brain behind the entire event. All the devotees were served food at the end of the Mass.
