On November 24, 2024, Bishop Francis Serrao SJ of Shimoga, in the esteemed presence of Bishop Joseph Arumachadath of Bhadravathi, Bishop Mar Geevarghese Makarios Kalyil of Puttur, and Monsignor Stany D'Souza, officially launched the YouTube channel of the Diocese of Shimoga.
The inauguration took place during the celebration of Christ the King Feast at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Shivamogga.
Fr. Simon Pinto briefly explained the purpose behind creating the diocesan YouTube channel, followed by the release of original compositions by various priests of the Diocese under the collective title "Rakshane."
Fr. Vinuth Balu Kumar, the Communications Director for the Diocese, conceptualized and designed the YouTube channel.
