Shimoga: The Commission for Family - Sanjeevana conducted Marriage Preparation Course for marriageable youth from 2 Dec to 4 Dec 2022. There were 28 participants, mostly from the diocese.
The topics dealt during the Pre-Cana were: Love, Friendship and Infatuation, Marriage as a covenant, and sacrament, Canonical and Civil aspects of marriage, Communication in the Family, Complementarity of man and woman, Roles and Responsibilities of parents,- Responsible Parenthood, Problems in the Family and how to face them, Sexuality of man and woman, Moral Challenges in marital life, Natural Family Planning, Financial Management, Child- bearing, Pro-life, Spirituality in the Family and other topics relevant to the participants.
There were lectures, PPT presentations, interactive sessions, etc. The main resource persons were Fr Jacob M J, Fr Ronald Veigas, Fr Biju, Sr Dr Gladys Pinto, Mr David Raj, Mr Monthu Moras, Mrs Vinutha Moras, Mrs Mary Dsiuza and Mrs Pescilla Pinto . The Director of the Family Commission, Fr Duming Dias, thanked all the resource persons for their well- prepared talks. At the end of the course the participants were given the certificate of attendance.
