The students of Mary Immaculate High School and Mary Immaculate College spent one day in prayer and reflection at Yuvamitra Shimoga on 5 November 2022.  The day began with the introductory talk and meditation based on the word of God. Fr Pius D’Souza, the youth, Shimoga, spoke on the theme: Who is God to me? He explained to the students the importance of God’s presence in our life, how he is present everywhere and how his proximity carries us forward in our life.

She mentioned the importance of the student days in our life and how our relationship with God and others gives us the peace and harmony. She stressed on the preparation for the examinations and prepare ourselves for the future career in our life.
The one day Retreat was concluded with holy Eucharist presided over by Rev Fr Shanthraj SJ., the newly ordained priest.  In his homily he spoke about values of Christian life and how we must inculcate these values in our life as we prepare ourselves to face real situations and build ourselves for the future. In the final evaluation the students appreciated the prime time spent with the Lord and the prayer, meditation and the Eucharist. Fifty five catholic students participated in the retreat.
