Holy Family Deanery meeting held at Challakere.
Chitradurga, Challakere, 29 October 2022: Holy Family Deanery of Diocese of Shimoga held its Deanery meeting on October 28th at Infant Jesus Church, Challakere, Chitradurga District. Meeting began at 9:30 am with prayer led by Fr. Shaji SDB. Fr George K. A., the Dean, welcomed the members.
Fr Sudeep Paul George welcomed Fr Duming Dias and Fr Eugene Lobo SJ, the resource persons of the day. Then Fr Duming Dias enlightened members on the Diocesan Pastoral Centre activities as well as Diocesan Pastoral Plan a d how to go about it in detail.
Fr Eugene Lobo SJ explained the Apostolic letter of Pope Francis promulgated on June 29, 2022 namely; "Desiderio Desideravi"("I have earnestly desired' to eat this Passover with you before I suffer" Luke 22:15).
Fr Stany D'Cunha thanked the resource persons. Thereafter the deanery meeting was held chaired by Fr George K A. He read the minutes of the previous meeting.
Fr Sudeep Paul George was elected as the new secretary of the Deanery. Evaluation of Deanery Pastoral activities as well as reports were discussed. Dean gave the information about the celebration of the feast of Christ the King also about next year plan for the deanery.
Meeting concluded at 1pm with Angelus and prayer led by Fr Victor Pais. Diocese of shimoga comprises of four deaneries namely; Mount Carmel, John Mary Vianney, Little flower and Holy Family.
