Shimoga 20.11.2021: The intended Anti Conversion Bill as well as the survey of the Christian Churches by the Government of Karnataka was opposed by the Christians of Shimoga on Friday 19.11.2021. Most Rev Dr Francis Serrao, Bishop of Shimoga, Most Rev Dr Joseph Arumachadath, Bishop of Bhadravathi, Pastor Yesudas, President of Pastors Association, Reverend Fathers of Catholic Churches, Reverend Pastors of CSI and various other Churches, Rev Sisters and a large number of Christian faithful were present. A memorandum was submitted to the honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka through the Deputy Commissioner at 10.55 am simultaneously at Shimoga, Bhadravthi and Sagar.

This protest was organised by the Karnataka United Christians Forum for Human Rights. The local convenor Rev Fr. Jerome Moras had made all the necessary arrangements.
