Jog falls , Feb 6, 2020 : The Diocese of Shimoga has declared current year dedicated to Small Christian Community. Bishop Most. Rev. Francis Serrao S. J. announced it with the motto ‘Empowered Small Christian Community, Enlivened Parish Community and Enriched Diocese’, on 1st of January during the New Year thanks giving Holy Eucharist at Sacred Heart Cathedral Shimoga.
As regarding this lot of jubilation and concrete activities have been taking place in different parishes of the diocese.
To mark this event officially inaugurated in the Church of Christ the king Jog Falls on 2nd February 2020 there was a special liturgy organized by Liturgical Team of the parish, guided by Deacon Joy Andrade. The Holy Mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Ronald Veigas with thoughts for reflection on the Small Christian Community.
