Hosanagara, July 26: The Commission for media and Communication of the diocese of Shimoga conducts a programme on the use of Media and Communication for the PU students of Holy Redeemer College at Hosanagara on 20.07.2019. The means of communication like smart phones is really a matter of concern today. The Commission for Media and Communication of the diocese of Shimoga was invited by the Holy Redeemer PU College at Hosanagar to address to their students on the topic ‘Critical consumers of the digital media and communication in today’s world’.

 

 

 

Youth are the favourite customers and favoured consumers of media and communication producers today. Business world much depends on the young consumers and thus woos with varied advertises to satiate their desires. The deterioration of age old value system has been a warning to the civilised society. Priorities of life have been finding a U tern with the rise of digital world. Therefore we need to be aware, awake and arise for a health society.

Fr. Ronald Veigas, the director for Media and Communication of the diocese of Shimoga and Fr. Richard D’Souza Director of Canara Communications, Diocese of Mangalore were the resource persons. There were 178 students present for this programme. The entire college staff along with the Principal was present for the programme.
